I offer free mentorships to emerging BIPOC translators when I can, typically once a year. Translations of North African literature are especially welcome, if only because that’s my area of focus, but all projects are considered. Mentorship includes detailed feedback on a translation sample and ideas on where to submit. Email response time varies but please consider this a no-expiration mentorship.

I have been very lucky in receiving some generous prizes and grants, most recently the 2022 French Voices Grand Prize and the 2022 French-American Foundation Translation Prize. Runner-up is nice, too.
